Well known Ugandan fashion designers in the Diaspora will be presenting some of their fashion collections at the Ugandan Convention in UK. Jose Hendo and Maureen Amooti are just some of the names of the Ugandan fashion designers to showcase their collections on the night with an evening full of glamour and artistic relishing being promised.

The organizers of the event believe that the Ugandan fashion industry is a multi-million dollar industry and an important factor to Uganda’s economic development with the fashion industry in Uganda having immense potential and great prospects for the future.

One of the designers in particular Jose Hendo, has scored quite a bit of attention due to his noticeable ethical conscience. The label, inspired by the founder’s African heritage looks to create and showcase pieces that are “Sustainable by Design”.

The night is generating much hype, not only in the fashion world but also in other artistic fields with the aim of attracting a number of various professionals in the fashion, film and music industries also.
