Salabed is a trading name for both Lontex Exports Ltd and Cosmas Money Swift Ltd which conduct business in freight forwarding and money transfer respectively. Lontex Exports, the older of the two firms, was registered in England & Wales in 1992 well as Cosmas started trading in 2002. Having grown from a one-man business, Salabed now employs over 100 people in 5 different countries and is recognized by business regulators Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and International Air Transport Association (IATA). The company prides itself in a business experience that spans over two decades and a growing list of over twenty agents and branches across the UK which makes it one of the fastest growing cargo and money transfer specialists in UK.
Our main warehouse in London is strategically located in Edmonton just off the North Circular and is easily accessible from the M1, M11, and M25 but with a dozen branches in London alone there is likely to be a branch near you so you may not even have to come to the warehouse. We have got branches across London in Croydon, Seven Sisters, Hounslow, Tottenham, Barking, Forest Gate, Mitcham, Plumstead, Deptford, Harlesden, Hayes and Brixton. So far we are covering twelve of UK’s major cities with branches in Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, Liverpool, Newcastle, Luton, Oxford, Bristol, Basingstoke, Cambridge, Reading and Crawley.
Salabed Money:
Salabed is a trading name of Cosmas Money Swift Ltd which is FCA registered (FRN no. 504437). Our swift money transfer service currently covers Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda. We are in final stages of setting up money transfer to Cameroon and Zimbabwe. You can make use of over twenty branches across the UK to transfer money to any of our destination countries.
Banking & Card Transfer: We also offer the bank deposit or card payment option where you get to transfer money in the comfort of your house or office. You can transfer money into our bank account and then call us to finalise the transfer to your desired recipient. Alternatively, you can call us and we will make a transfer from your credit/debit card.
Our collection points in the receiving countries are conveniently located in neighbourhoods that are accessible and secure for our customers.
Mobile Money Transfer & Bank Deposits: Money transferred through Salabed can also be conveniently sent via mobile money to MTN, Airtel and Warid. We also have a banking service where we deposit the money into a bank account within two working days at no cost.
Salabed Cargo:
Salabed is also a trading name for Lontex Exports which specializes in freight forwarding, among other things and is IATA accredited. Salabed Cargo provides total logistical solutions that include haulage, sea freight, and air cargo worldwide for all sizes and quantities of cargo. Being IATA accredited enables Salabed to deal with any airline directly to secure the best rates for our customers. We also have long standing accounts with all major shipping lines which again enables us to get best rates for our customers for sea cargo freight. Over the years, Salabed has been able to build a customer base that ranges from individuals to corporate and government bodies.
Sea & Air Cargo: We currently ship cleared air cargo to Uganda and Kenya and uncleared cargo worldwide. We also currently ship cleared sea cargo to Uganda, Kenya, Ghana and Cameroon.
Vehicles & Personal Container Shipment: We ship vehicles to East Africa on a roll-on, roll-off basis at very competitive rates. We also arrange shipment of personal container from anywhere in UK to East Africa.
Haulage Service: Salabed offers haulage services across the East African region. We offer clearance services at the ports and then transport the goods to the desired location. We undertake various quantities of cargo from full containers to boxed items.
Collection & Purchase Request Services: We have also got a collection service where we can collect your items from your doorstep and forward them to your required destination. This is irrespective the quantities of goods.
Our Purchase Request Service is most popular with customers outside the UK who wish to buy items and get them shipped to where they are. You can instruct Salabed to purchase on your behalf and then dispatch the items to you. With the purchase service, we get to save our customers the hassle of having to follow-up on their purchases. With our service you can also get to beat the fraud that sometimes comes with international online purchases.
