Mrs Janet Kataaha Museveni was born on 24th June, 1948 at Ntungamo District, Uganda. Married to H.E. Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni President of the Republic of Uganda with four children and fifteen grandchildren.
She held a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership and Management, Uganda Christian University (2015), Bachelor of Education, Makerere University (1997) and a Diploma in Child Cognitive and Physiological Development, Montessori Education Centre, Dublin (1993).
She is the Minister of Education and Sports (June 2016 to date).
She has held various portfolio including:
- Minister for Karamoja Affairs (2009-June2016) - Involved in guiding Government Development Programmes in the Karamoja Sub Region. Providing oversight and supervisory role over the implementation of all government projects and programmes in the region including education, health, water and sanitation, wealth creation and agriculture.
- Member of Parliament for Ruhaama County Ntungamo District, 2006-May 2016). She has made a tremendous contribution to the transformation of the livelihood of the people of Ruhaama County through her various interventions namely: Construction of school classrooms, renovation and equipping of health centres, provision of micro credit to youth, women and men groups, introduction of income generating projects for the most vulnerable, improvement in agriculture and environment, expansion of rural electrification, improving the road network in the County and training and empowering the people with life skills for poverty eradication.
- Founder and Patron of Uganda Women's Effort to Save Orphans (UWESO) an indigenous NGO which cares for war-related and HIV/AIDS affected orphans in all the Districts of Uganda. The NGO has been in operation since 1986 and works with major UN agencies and other international donor organizations.
- Founder and Patron of National Strategy for Advancement of rural Women in Uganda (NSARWU), an indigenous NGO which works with poor rural women to empower them economically through various interventions like micro credit. The NGO has been in operation for 20 years and works closely with international donor agencies.
- Founder and Patron of Uganda Youth Forum (UYF) an NGO that engages the youth of Uganda for character and behaviour formation particularly with regard to HIV/AIDS prevention. This NGO was founded in 1992 and provides a platform for open dialogue on issues and challenges of growing up, such as sexuality, relationships, adolescence, and career choices.
- Goodwill Ambassador for Safe Motherhood in Uganda on behalf of the Ugandan Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO) with a major role of advocating for reduction of maternal mortality and morbidity.
- Active member of the Organization of African First Ladies against HIV/AIDS (OAFLA Uganda), an NGO established in 2002 to effectively respond to the scourge of HIV/AIDS in Sub Saharan Africa.
- The first Chairperson of African First Ladies Forum on Cervical and Breast Cancer Prevention. She is The Patron of this Forum and has been instrumental in facilitating the initiation and scale up of this intervention since 2007.
- Co-Chair of CURE Hospital – a specialized neurosurgery teaching Hospital for disabled children in Uganda, in partnership with CURE International.
- Conference Speaker both in Uganda and at many international fora concerning various social development topics, particularly HIV/AIDS, poverty eradication and women economic empowerment.
- Janet Museveni is a professed and active Christian whose work and life is driven by faith.

Hon. Ruth Nankabirwa Sentamu is the Minister of Energy and Mineral Development a position she has held effective June 2021. Before that, she was the Government Chief Whip, a position she was appointed to in 2015. She has previously served as State Minister for Fisheries, State Minister for Microfinance, State Minister for Defence and State Minister for Luwero Triangle.
In 1994 through 1995, she served as a delegate to the Constituent Assembly that enacted the 1995 Constitution for the Republic of Uganda.
Hon. Ruth Nankabirwa Sentamu holds a Masters of Arts Degree in Conflict Studies, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Art, both from Makerere University. She hails from Kiboga District, and was the District Woman Representative from 1996 – 2021.

Before joining politics Hon Judith worked in Uganda Police as Deputy Spokes Person from 2004 to 2010 and was promoted to the rank of Commissioner and in that capacity served as the Spokes Person for Uganda police from 2011 to 2015 before she resigned.

Mahamoud Andama joined the Bank in August 2015 as the Manager Business Development, later being appointed Director Investments in May 2018. He is a driven, focused and effective leader with more than 14 years’ diverse experience in development and commercial banking. His adeptness at credit process management, development and execution of profitable business initiatives, negotiation and relationship management has seen and the bank’s business grow by more than double during his tenure.
Mahamoud has been pivotal in developing the bank’s strategic plans aligned to the national development priorities and sustainable development goals. He is specifically credited for building a successful, high performing team that has delivered phenomenon business growth, resulting in effective utilization of lines of credit and improved portfolio quality. He also championed the delineation of sector expertise in the bank and took on oversight of additional diverse internal and external stakeholders outside of his reporting line in order to manage business more effectively.
Prior to joining UDBL, Mahamoud worked with large financial institutions of repute like Barclays and Stanbic (Standard Bank) in various capacities both in credit and business functions where he played an instrumental role in funding large investment projects in Uganda undertaken by prominent multinational corporations.
Currently undertaking his MBA at Edinburgh Business School-Heriot WATT University Scotland UK, Mahamoud holds a Master of Arts in International Economics and Trade degree from Shanghai University-Peoples Republic of China. He also holds a first-class honors degree in Bachelor of Business Administration from Makerere University – Uganda. Mahamoud is a Member of the Association of the Certified Chartered Accountants (UK).

Richard has worked in over 55 countries, specialising in Africa, the wider Commonwealth, and post-conflict situations and locations.
He was Chief Executive, Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council from 2017 to 2019. For the previous 8 years, he was Chief Executive of Wilton Park (a Foreign and Commonwealth Office agency for conciliation and dialogue on conflict and crises). He was a Commissioner for Commonwealth Scholarships, and on the Council of Durham University. He is currently a Governor of the National Institute of Social and Economic Research.
He has been CEO of the Countryside Alliance, Director General of the Zoological Society of London, and for ten years served with the British Council in Africa and the Middle East.
He graduated from Durham University (Hatfield College) in1980 and was a Commonwealth Research Scholar at the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka (1983-1986). He was born in Hong Kong.

Mrs Patience Tumusiime Rubagumya is a Ugandan lawyer, corporate executive and taxation expert who currently serves as the Commissioner Legal Services and Board Affairs in Uganda Revenue Authority, Uganda. She has served in Uganda Revenue Authority for the last twenty years in various capacities in tax administration functions specifically in the legal services field and advising on tax policy. She holds a Masters of Laws Degree in Oil and Gas, a Bachelor of Laws Degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. She is a Chartered Secretary, member of ICSA, Uganda Law Society and East African Law Society.
She also serves as the Secretary to the Uganda Revenue Authority Board of Directors.

Nimisha Jayant Madhvani is a Ugandan diplomat, formerly Uganda's Ambassador to the Nordic countries she was accredited to Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
Prior to that, she served as Uganda's Ambassador to United Arab Emirates, and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).
Before that, she was Uganda's ambassador to France, Spain, Portugal and UNESCO, based in Paris.
She was born in Uganda in 1959 to Meena Madhvani and Jayant Madhvani, both Ugandan citizens of Indian descent. Jayant was the firstborn of the five sons of Mulji Prabhudas Madhvani (1894–1958), the industrialist, entrepreneur who founded the Madhvani Group of Companies in 1930.
Nimisha grew up at the family estate in Kakira, about an hour and one half's drive east of the capital, Kampala. When dictator Idi Amin expelled Ugandan Asians in 1972, she located to the United Kingdom with her family, as a 13-year-old teenager.

Rwakakamba is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Uganda Investment Authority.
He is the former Global Senior Director of Policy at Fenix International, a company of ENGIE and Vice President of Global Off-Grid Lighting Association (GOGLA). At Fenix, Morrison was member of the global senior management team and leads a team of policy professionals working with and engaging governments and off-grid sector stakeholders to create a conducive policy environment necessary to expand energy access and transform lives of almost 600 million people that still have no access to electricity in Africa and 1.7 billion people globally.
Rwakakamba has 15+ years of experience in private sector development, project development and execution, public policy analysis, and government. He has worked as the founding Chief Executive Officer at Agency for Transformation (AfT), a think and do tank on agriculture, energy and environmental policy, the CEO of Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Special Assistant to the President of the Republic of Uganda from 2013 to 2017, charged with public policy research and information in the Presidency.
As a manager for Policy Research and Advocacy at Uganda National Farmers Federation in 2007, Rwakakamba directed research and mobilized the farmers’ fraternity to amplify their voice and shape favorable agriculture policies. He has also chaired a number of international expert committees moderated by the International Federation of Agricultural Producers in Paris, France.
As HIID Merit Scholar and Mason Fellow in Public Policy Management, Rwakakamba graduated with Masters degree in Public Administration from Harvard University – Kennedy School of Government in 2016.
Rwakakamba received his first degree in Education from Makerere University, Kampala in 2003. He later attended the School of Political Science at Makerere University where he obtained a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Diplomatic Studies (IRDS) in 2006.

Emmanuel Niyibigira is an agricultural scientist (PhD, MBA), with over 15 years experience in agriculture related programme design and delivery. His core competences are in strategic planning, and programme management, reviews and evaluations; his technical background and competences are agriculture, agribusiness, rural development, crop protection, import and export risk analysis, sanitary and phytosanitary issues.
Since August 2010, Emmanuel is the National Programme Coordinator for the EU funded Northern Uganda Agriculture Livelihoods Recovery Programme (ALREP - € 20 million) and the Karamoja Livelihoods Programme (KALIP - € 15 million), in the Office of the Prime Minister, Uganda. As such he manages 32 staff in Kampala, Gulu and Moroto and has the overall responsibility for programme design and delivery, within the framework of the GoU policies and EU rules and procedures

She possesses over 30 years of work experience in and vast knowledge of Uganda’s Electricity sub-Sector, 15 of which have been at Senior Management Level. She holds a MSc. and BSc. Electrical Engineering, both from Makerere University, and a Master of Business Administration in Leadership from Walden University, USA.
Eng. Waako is a Registered Engineer with the Uganda Institute of Professional Engineers and the National Engineers Registration Board; as well as a Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) of New York, United States of America. She was awarded the Excellent Performance Engineers Award by the National Engineers Registration Board at its 50th Anniversary celebrations in 2019. During Eng. Waako’s tenure as Chief Executive, ERA has had various National and International Recognitions and Awards.
