Cllr Ramji Chauhan

Mayor of London Borough of Harrow

Cllr Ramji Chauhan is a Conservative Councillor for Harrow Weald Ward, currently serving in his fourth term. He is a family man with 2 children who has lived in Harrow for the past 37 years and since 2010 has represented Harrow Weald Ward. Working as a London & S. East Area Manager for a Pharmaceutical Sweet Confectionery Manufacturing Company, his interests as well as politics, include education and health.

 

Cllr Chauhan is passionate about improving the provisions and services for the community in these sectors, for both adults and children. He serves on various Council panels, committees and forums including; the Call-In Sub-Committee (Education, Reserve), the Education Consultative Forum (Reserve), the Grants Advisory Panel (Reserve), the Overview and Scrutiny Committee (Reserve), the Licensing and General Purposes Committee, School Placement Panel (Reserve), Harrow Business Consultative panel (Reserve) and Overview and Scrutiny Committee (Reserve).

 

As well as serving on the Harrow Environmental Forum, Harrow Weald Common Board of Conservators, Harrow Weald Safe Neighbourhood Panel, he is also representing the Council in local Environmental and Conservation Organisations and is a Member on the Cedars Youth Centre, Harrow Weald Common Board of Conservators Appointee and Community Centre. Cllr Chauhan was also a Governor of Glebe Primary School and Hatch End High School (Academy).

 

He also received the freedom of the City of London (2018) and is a member of The City of London Livery companies “The Worshipful Company of Gold and Silver Wyre Drawers”.
