Kaggwa Ronald is an Economist by training holding a Master of Arts degree in Economic Policy and Planning and BA in Economics all from Makerere University. He also holds several post-graduate professional qualifications in different fields related to sustainable development. He has several publications and articles in international peer reviewed journals and has made academic presentations to national and international audiences.

At the NPA, Kaggwa Ronald is the Manager of Production, Trade and Tourism Planning, responsible for policy development, analysis and coordination of planning in these areas and ensuring that relevant Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) produce Strategic plans all aligned to the Uganda Vision 2040 and the National Development Plan.

He represents the National Planning Authority (NPA) on the Uganda Tourism Board of Directors.  At the UTB of Directors, Kaggwa Ronald is the Chairman of the Finance and Planning Committee of the Board.
