Eng. David Luyimbazi

Deputy Executive Director, Kampala Capital City Authority

Eng. David Ssali Luyimbazi is the Deputy Executive Director of Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) who has over 20 years’ experience at senior positions in the infrastructure sector in the Government of Uganda.

He is a certified engineer with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB), a member of the Uganda Association of Professional Engineers, a specialist in Public Private Partnerships, performance based contracts, Project Economic Assessment and Road Asset Management.

He has a Master’s of Science specializing in Major Programme Management from the University Oxford, a Master’s of Science specializing in High Way Management and Engineering from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom and a Bachelor’s of Science specializing in Civil Engineering from Makerere University in Uganda.

 

David is a resourceful, analytical and detail-oriented technical administrator driven by the need to have sustainable projects that ensure service delivery, safety, environment and quality principles. He is a team player dedicated to motivating and mentoring colleagues within multidisciplinary settings.

                  

He has spearheaded the preparation and implementation of several mega infrastructure projects in Uganda including the express ways Flyovers, bridges, industrial park etc.  He is familiar and has worked with several multilateral leading institutions such as (World Bank, African Development Bank, European Investment Bank, JICA, China EXIM Bank, BADEA, Islamic Development Bank, European Union, Trademark East Africa, etc.) to raise financing for the implementation of various projects in Uganda.
