The Ugandan UK Convention is delighted to welcome the Commissioner General of the Uganda Revenue Authority, Ms Doris Akol as one of the esteemed speakers at the Convention on 12 Sept 2015 in London.
Ms Doris Akol, who is also a lawyer and administrator, was appointed as Commissioner General by Ms Maria Kiwanuka, former Ugandan Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, in October 2014, replacing Ms Allen Kagina who retired after two consecutive five-year terms at the helm of URA.
Ms Akol holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Makerere University, and postgraduate Diploma in Law Practice from the Law Development Centre, in Kampala. She also has a Diploma in Financial Management, a degree of Master of Laws from Makerere University, and a second degree of Master of Laws obtained from McGill University in Canada. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA).
The Ugandan Convention exposes investment opportunities within the priority sectors of infrastructure development, Power & Energy, Health-care, Agriculture & Agri-business, Real Estate, tourism, and many more, in Uganda and also the East African region.
