Ambassadors Stephen T.K.Katenta Apuuli and Mirjam Blaak who oversee the Beneluxarea have agreed in principle to attend the Ugandan Diaspora Convention UK/Europe due on Saturday 27th August 2011in London..
After intensive consultations at the Uganda Embassy Offices in Brussels, NEDAS Foundation Board member and the Convention’s representative (non Nordic countries) Mr. F.Kasibante secured this acceptance from Ambassador extra ordinary and Pleni potentiary to attend the August Convention.
In the same meeting, Ambassador Katenta Apuli reiterated the Embassy’s conviction to support the Diaspora community in all the themes that shall be covered by the Convention, most importantly Development and Investment initiatives that are Ugandan Diaspora driven and most especially those directed to Uganda.
He also thank Nedas Foundation( Amsterdam) for the mobilization work it is carrying out already, with its Partners in and Outside The Netherlands.
