About The UK-Convention

With 600+ delegates anticipated to attend, the UK-Uganda Trade Summit is the most significant annual trade and investment summit to an East African market in the UK and is the ideal setting to discuss trade development and connect businesses to new markets.

Now in its 13th year, the event creates awareness, supports, and promotes trade and investment between Uganda (East Africa) and the United Kingdom.

This annual event combines high-level plenaries with business networking. Its side events offer capacity building for trade, with deal-maker dedicated meetings, insights, and partnerships for exporters and importers, businesses to engage in the UK and Commonwealth markets.

The President of Uganda, His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, is invited as the Chief Guest and will lead a delegation from both the public and private sectors of Uganda, joined by prominent industry leaders, diplomates, investors, and ministers from the UK to forge new business deals, invest in bankable projects and reinforce economic relationships between the UK, Ugandan Indian, Diasporans and Uganda, including the wider East African Community.

UKUC has become the ideal platform to facilitate and give access to bilateral trade opportunities for the private and public sectors in Uganda and the UK.

This year, the Trade Summit will focus on key objectives:

  • Provide a platform as a buyer-seller trade summit to enhance offtake from the Ugandan agricultural industry to markets in the UK, Europe, and the Commonwealth
  • Market opportunities for investment in crucial Ugandan priority sectors, including agriculture (Agro-processing), infrastructure, oil and gas, ICT, tourism, service, health, mineral, and manufacturing
